Different mapping for different sessions

I am looking for a way to map serial ports per session on a Windows 2003 Terminal server.

The problem to solve is an application which need to access an external device through a common devicename COM1: However, users in different sessions should access different physical ports, but they all need to name the port COM1: For performance reasons Terminal Server client port redirecting is not an option.

Testing Serial Port Mapper indicates that it will create mappings systemwide, not per session.

Is this correct, and can it be configured to operate per session?

Any suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks

In general it's possible to add Serial Port Mapper feature for mapping per session. Please send email to support@fabulatech.com for details.
