Connection broken and wont reconnect

I have installed the network serial port kit (V5.6.2)on a Windows 2003 server and an XP PC. I can get a connection to the shared port on the PC and map it to COm5 on the server using the PC's IP address or UNC name.  I am finding that when the PC is turned off and back on the connection doesnt re-establish itself ie.. "broken connection" on server Virtual port connection and "Awaiting connection" on the PC.  Is there any way to refresh or reconnect the connection between the machines?  The only way I found to recreate the connection was to reinstall the software at both ends and start again!!!

Did you try Properties of the virtual port - Connection settings tab - checkbox "Autoreconnect when connection is broken"?

Thanks for that..  I did try that but with no luck.  However since I gave reinstalled the software it seems to be running properly.  Thanks again
