Video is showing but no snapshot

Hello,

I just stumbled across your product and installed the trial.  The video from the webcam came up very fast, and I was very impressed with the simplicity.  We are using RDP servers for a program that allows you to take pictures of people and save it to their contact record.  The program finds the webcam, and shows the preview video from the webcam, but when we click "take picture", I just get a black picture with white and purple(ish) digital static.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi,

To troubleshoot this issue I need to see the advanced log files. To get them please do the following:

1. On the computer where "WebCam for Remote Desktop(Server)" is installed press "WIN" + "R";
2. Type "regedit" and press "Enter";
3. In the registry editor go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FabulaTech\WebCam for Remote Desktop\

And create "LogLevel" parameter and set its value to "4".

4. In case you have 64-bit system please add one more "LogLevel" parameter with the same value in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\FabulaTech\WebCam for Remote Desktop\

5. Log off from your account and log into again/ Restart the RDP session;
6. Reproduce the issue you encountered 1-2 times;
7. Go to:

c:\users\%USER_NAME%\AppData\Local\WebCam for Remote Desktop

and send me these log files:

ftwebcamrecv-exe.log
ftwebcamrecv-dll.log
ftwebcam.log

To my email: support@fabulatech(dot)com

I will analyze them and then will provide you with necessary instructions what to do next. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Can you provide me with a link for downloading the software you use to make photos?
