USB Connection Speed

We are trying out the USB for Remote Desktop with Igel thin clients and Server 2016. The device we are trying to redirect is a Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500. The ScanSnap software successfully recognizes the scanner and we are able to scan documents, but it is extremely slow. We are currently redirecting the scanner from a Wyse thin client (using the Wyse TCX USB software) and it is quick, almost as fast as a local USB connection.

Are there any settings in USB for Remote Desktop, either server or workstation side, that can be adjusted to optimize specific types of USB devices? I considered trying the Scanner for Remote Desktop application, but the ScanSnap series doesn't provide WIA or TWAIN drivers.

Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our product.
USB for Remote Desktop isn't a best solution for scanner redirection. There is no data compression here. Yes, you are right, we don't have a support of ISIS driver in case of Scanner for Remote Desktop for now. But we are working on it.
I have a few questions to you:
1) what firmware version of Igel TC do you use?
2) let me know the values of "extremely slow" and "Wyse TCX USB software ... it is quick".

We are using 11.02.150 for the Igel OS, which includes USB for Remote Desktop 5.2.29. Using the Wyse redirection and thin client, it takes about 2 seconds for each page to render in the ScanSnap software. Using Fabulatech and the Igel thin client, it takes just over 10 seconds per page.
