Hi, we have a customer who connects from two worstations, both who have the same printer. The printers show up with the same name in both sessions. Is there a way to rename the printers? E.g. "Printer 1" and "Printer 2" instead of having two printers both named "Bixolon SRP3-III" ?

You have the same functionality of printers on the remote side within RD session as on the physical side in the console session. I think that you can change the description of printer.
Hi, thank for your reply. Changing the name of the printer does not change the name in the remote session. I have set up a test and installed a Lexmark printer. On the computer where the printer is attached it is named "Lexmark MS310 Series v2 XL" and in the "Fabulatech USB for remote desktop" (right clicking the icon in the taskbar next to the clock) on the remote side it shows as "Lexmark Lexmark MS310d"

It's a functionality/behavior of OS. We can't bypass it. Plug two Lexmark (the same model) printers to your remote (USB for Remote Desktop (server)) PC, open Devices and Printers and let me know the result.
You have to go to the settings and go to the properties, go and change the name which is given to the scanner, check it out, and update the name whichever you want. and save it to the settings. in this way, you may change the name which is given by you, or if, it is not working, you may contact on canon-printer-support to get more option to solve your problem.
