libusb-1.0 fails to initialize

Hi,
 
I installed `ftusbrdp-6.1.3.1-x86_64.tar.gz` on a Ubuntu 22.04 guest OS running as a Hyper-V VM.
When I start the software via
sudo /opt/ftusbrdp/sbin/ftusbrdpd
I get following message:
 
`USB for Remote Desktop version: 6.1.3.1
Build time: May  8 2023 10:05:37
 
This software uses the libusb 1.0 library.
The components of libusb are distributed under the GNU General
Public License and the GNU LGPL. You can obtain updated versions
of libusb and the source code from the libusb homepage at  
http://libusb.sourceforge.net.

Installing libusb-1.0 via
sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0-0
does not fix the issue.
 
Any help would be appreciated.
