I have a system using RTCU unit (from logic io, www.logicio.com).
The RTCU unit code can be updated from a remote area using a standard modem.

Instead using a standard modem, can I use virtual modem? How?

The RTCU unit have a GSM module, so the standard modem communicate through it

Hi Peter,

OK, you need to access remote regular modem.
As you understand, only another regular modem can dial that remote modem.
In other words, software solution cannot access regular modem without using another hardware modem.

Peter, could describe the reason, why you do not want to use regular modem for dialing? We have a lot of alternative virtual serial port solutions, so may be one of our solutions would be suitable for your case.

Thanks.
