USB not working in Windows 7

Hi, I just upgraded to a new home computer.  Dell optiplex 980 32 bit op system, with Windows 7 ultimate.  I tried downloading usb for RDC to this computer.  I upgraded the server at work to this latest version.

The first time I installed it to the workstation, I was getting an error that there were no drivers for this device, something to that effect and all of my usb devices stopped working.

I then un installed the program and reinstalled it, however, the program does not recognize any of my usb devices.  There is nothing there to redirect.  When I log onto server at work my home keyboard and mouse work.  The only thing I really need redirected is my home printer.  Everthing worked fine on my old computer  Help.

Dear dmmedical,

We are more then interested in resolving your issue.
Please send us a message to support@fabulatech.com with a following information so we can investigate the issue:

- The system information of both PC's where USB for Remote Desktop (Server and
Workstation) is installed. To get system information file  you need to do the
following: Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System
Information File -> Save.
- The USB for Remote Desktop log files. Please look for the logs in
%systemroot%\system32 folder (or if your PC is x64 then in
%systemroot%\syswow64). The log file names should be:
ftusbrdpsrv.log - for USB for Remote Desktop Server
ftusbrdpwks.log - for USB for Remote Desktop Workstation
- The exact model of your printer

Screeshots will be highly appreciated to.

Thanks.
Awaiting your reply.

Thanks for the Reply:

I found the correct log file on server, however, I had to uninstall the program from my home computer.  While the program was installed on home computer, I was unable to print anything, and could only see that there were jobs waiting to be printed. As soon as I uninstalled USB for RDC, printer started working again.

Dear Dmmedical.

Unfortunately it is not enough data for us to troubleshoot. At least log files are required. You can send them to support@fabulatech.com.

Log files remain after the de-installation of the the Fabulatech software.

I am trying to access my system32 log file and I keep getting this error

---------------------------
WordPad
---------------------------
The document C:\Windows\System32\log.txt is in use by another application and cannot be accessed.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I have checked my processes, Do you know of a reason why I can not open this log file.

Dear Dmmedical

The log file C:\Windows\System32\log.txt has nothing to do with Fabulatech solutions.

We need the following log files that located ant %systemroot%\system32 folder
ftusbrdpsrv.log - for USB for Remote Desktop Server
ftusbrdpwks.log - for USB for Remote Desktop Workstation

Whet USB for Remote Desktop Workstation is installed - how do the USB devices appear in the Device Manager? ( normally or with some error code?)
