I am testing the USB for RDP application for some VDI deployments. And I just cannot seem to get simple redirection to work. As you can see from the images I have captured, the workstation shows all of the available devices. However, none of them are redirecting. I had disabled the "Other supported Plug and Play devices" setting in the RDC client. I also tried it Enabled. No changes.
I think I fixed my problem. I had swapped the installs around (installed the Workstation component when I should have installed the Server, and vice-versa, even though I removed the app before installing the correct one.) I deleted the registry entries under HKCU\Fabrutech that matched the install that should have been removed, and now I can re-direct my ActivKey token. Now off to test my Windows Mobile device.
I am still running into some issues. It appears that if you disconnected a device, and represented it back to the remote host, USB for RDP will show the device as "Connected" but it will not show up in Device Manager.
Also, I cannot get any Windows Mobile device to be recognized with your product. I have tried both USB For RDP and USB For Network. Has anyone been success in redirecting a Windows Mobile device to then sync via Windows Mobile Device Center?
George, I haven't received any PM for the 2.8 version. I would really love to test 2.8 to see if it resolves the issue. USB over Network doesn't fix my issue either.
