The phone shows up in the device mananger as a blackberry smart phone. when I go into the redirect on the workstation, it detects it as a RIM device it will let me redirest the device, but when in the RDP session, it does not see it.
I have upgraded both the server and workstation to the latest version of redirect software.
We need to know what OS you use with our software. Also please try to use any other USB device (redirect it and enter RDP session) to find out where the issue is - software or device. Also inform me about the version of USB for RDP and make sure that you have the same version on the server and workstation. I need to know if you did any updates of our software.
usb for rdp version 2.1.1 on both workstation and server. Workstation is Windows XP pro. The system has been working with older phones which utilized active sync. No other changes other than the phone swap out and loading of the Blackberry software and drivers.
You said that you upgraded the software - the newest version is 2.5.1 (not 2.1.1). Have you installed version 2.5.1? And please make sure you have the same versions on the workstation and on the server. Also enable auto-redirection, then unplug the device and plug it again (sometimes windows takes up the device before our software can do it). Also make sure you have the blackberry drivers on the server.
What is OS on the server?
