VM client disconnection with >1ms latency

The Server is connected to 1GEdgeSW1, and the client is a VM on 1GEdgeSW2.
Both edge switches are connected to a 10GCoreSW.

Ping latencies from client to server are usually below 10ms but in 24 hours at least 100 pings don't return within 1000ms (they just show as no response within 1000ms so we don't know worst case).

I saw several posts asking about the latency at which disconnections may happen, but no specific "minimum requirement" was given.
We know we need to bring the latency down, but by how much?
It it has to be < 1000ms, we'd may need to change the switch, so I'm curious about some rough ballpark goal to give me an idea as to the scope of changes that may be necessary.

Hi,

Thanks for using our product.
I am glad to assist you.

First of all 5.0.2 is 6+ year old version.
I would advise you to test our latest (6.0) release.

What do you mean by "disconnections"?
Our client is always trying to reestablish connection with the server side after the network problem.
Regarding the network latency and usb device disconnection on the client side. This question is related to the specifics of your own SW for your usb device.

I mean the app that depends on USB client-side app stops (presumably to disrupted access). So although access gets restored, the app must be manually started again.

There should be some events in the logs, we'll take a look at that, thank you!

Hi,

1) the question of network latency isn't related to our product, the cause of the redirected device disconnection in your app is a big value of the latency;
2) "the app must be manually started again" - this is the question to the developers of app for your device.
