Evaluating USB over Network

Hi
I am in process to evaluate the feasibility to use "USB over Network" solution in our environment, which is as below:
- VMs (Windows Server 2008R2) running on vSphere 5.5 client
- Host Machine is running Windows-7
- Both Host and VMs are in different network. Can not ping each other directly due to firewall restrictions. Only the ESX host IP is public.
- USB device which we need to access on VM is Broadcom Smart-Card Reader.
Appreciate your suggestions on how to use this product in our environment.
