Will it be possible to serve several SafeNet Sentinel keys from one USB-over-Network server? I see there have been problems with serving more than one hasp dongle from a server in other posts on this forum. We will need to test this before we decide on your product but your trial is limited to one device. Will it be possible to get a trial with support for more devices?
Yes, there may be some issues with an identic devices. However if they have serial numbers then everything should work fine. I'll send you the trial key for 4 devices by email, so you could check how it works with your devices.
I'm sorry to say that this didnt seem to work. I've tried with two keys connected and the program gives them diverent ID's but everything I do on one is mirrored on the other. Sharing, nickname, etc.
These are SafeNet Sentinel Dual Hardware Key's, they have different user ID and serialnumber.
We are developing a new version that will allow you to share a USB port instead of the device. This should help you. I'm not sure when it is ready, but we expect it to be finished in about two months.
I have a similar application with (4) SafeNet keys. They have different serial numbers etched on the outside cases, but do not appear to be electronically different (i.e. all the names change when I add a nickname to one of the keys). I was about to buy a 4-port license when I ran across this post.
May I please have a 4-port trial version to test on my system?
No problem, I'll send the trial key to you via email. And I also will send you a new version (it's only alpha version at this point) that should work fine with the identical devices.
