Can Multiple Clients connect to a single server?

Not sure if this has been addressed or not so apologies if its a duplicate.

Is it possible to have multiple clients connect to a single server.  I am mostly interested in USB Licensing dongles and was wondering if any one had any experience with this.

Thanks,

Hi!
Thanks for your question. Yes, multiple clients can connect to a single server. But each client can access a separate USB device.

E.g. if there are 3 clients, and 3 USB dongles.
Client 1 connects dongle 1, client 2 connects dongle 2, client 3 connects dongle 3.

Two clients can't access the same dongle at the same time.

Thanks!

I have four users who work from home listening to dictations and typing them. They use a USB footpedal to control the playback options. We are going to be using a new application that has the users logging into a Terminal Server. Since the Win 2003 Terminal Server does not recognize USB footpedals, I purchased USB over Network to resolve this issue. When I tested the connection I noticed that the clients who have the Footpedal connected to the PC's are able to control all the other users footpedal. I have the Server software installed on the clients who have the usb footpedal  connected to there PC and the Client software installed on the Terminal Server. Did I set it up wrong or is there a configuration that I missed that will seperate there footpedals. They all use the same brand and model footpedal

Thanks

Manny

Hi Manny.
The current version does not allow to configure access restriction rules for USB devices in Terminal Server environment. USB devices from all users appears on Terminal Server as if they were plugged directly to it. So all users see and control all USB devices.
