Issues with install - Can't run application
« on: Mar 2nd, 2011, 2:03pm »
Quote Quote  Modify Modify

When we run the application we receive the following error "Cannot find 'sprshell' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."

We are running windows CE 4.2 with a Marvell's 520MHz PXA270 XScale® RISC processor.

We have tried installing in multiple directories and checked the registry.

Please HELP,

Thanks,

Aaron

Dear Aar0n320.

Unfortunately Windows CE 4 is not supported. This system does not support the technologies that are required for proper functioning of Serial Port Redirector. . (it was developed in 2002)  At least Windows CE 5 is required.

I incorrectly stated the version of our windows CE. We are using windows CE 5.0 on the Marvell's 520MHz PXA270 XScale® RISC processor, and receive the error "Cannot find 'sprshell' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available." Evertime we run the application,

Please help, We are running windows CE 5.

Please reply before the end of your work day. I'm in the US, so my work day will begin in an hour or two. I would reallly like to get this working during my work day that is about to start. I'm at a standstill until we get your application running.

Thanks,
Aaron

Any time frame at all. If you could give me just an idea it would be greatly appreciated. We were planning on using this as a solution and deploying next week, so any ideas on how long would greatly help us plan, or let us know to change the plans.

Thanks,

Unfortunately we have no possibility to solve it this week as our developers are quite loaded with current projects.
We will do our best to solve this issue during the next week,
