Scanner for Remote Desktop

Server

Download and install Scanner for Remote Desktop Server on the remote Windows PC you will be connecting to.

Thin client

Activate FabulaTech Scanner Redirection service:
Go to Start > Configuration > Management > Services > FabulaTech SCAN - Start FabulaTech Scanner Redirection > ON

Create a profile of desired connection mode:
Configuration > Management > Sessions > Connections > Add > Edit > Please Set A Connection Mode

RDP
- Activate FtPlugin module:
  Configuration > Management > Sessions > Connections > Connection > FreeRDP > FabulaTech USB Redirection > ON
- Remote connection shortcut will appear on the Desktop. Restart the thin client for the changes to take effect. Then click the shortcut and connect to the remote Windows PC. Scanners available for redirection will appear in the taskbar menu under the Scanner for Remote Desktop icon.
Citrix
- Activate FtPlugin module:
  Configuration > Management > Sessions > Connections > Connection > Citrix Workspace App > FabulaTech USB > ON
- Remote connection shortcut will appear on the Desktop. Restart the thin client for the changes to take effect. Then click the shortcut and connect to the remote Windows PC. Scanners available for redirection will appear in the taskbar menu under the Scanner for Remote Desktop icon.
VMware
- Activate FtPlugin module:
  Configuration > Management > Sessions > Connections > Connection > VMware Horizon View > Fabulatec Plugins > ON
- The following configuration required for Blast protocol (one time only):
  Enable the usage of virtual channel on the remote Windows machine (Server side):
  apply two *-_enable.reg files from this archive. There are also two *-_disable.reg files to unroll changes if required. Restart the Server after registry change.
- Remote connection shortcut will appear on the Desktop. Restart the thin client for the changes to take effect. Then click the shortcut and connect to the remote Windows PC. Scanners available for redirection will appear in the taskbar menu under the Scanner for Remote Desktop icon.
Teradici
- Activate FtPlugin module:
  Configuration > Management > Sessions > Connections > Connection > Teradici PCoIP > Fabulatec Plugins > ON
- Remote connection shortcut will appear on the Desktop. Restart the thin client for the changes to take effect. Then click the shortcut and connect to the remote Windows PC. Scanners available for redirection will appear in the taskbar menu under the Scanner for Remote Desktop icon.
