USB over RDP with Igel UDC 3

Hello!

There is another thread regarding Igel UDC 3, but my Problem is somewhat different:

Server: Windows 2016 RDS on Esxi 6.5 with USB-over-RDP 5.2.1 x64
Client: Igel UDC 3 and UDC 2 (tested different Firmware Levels with Fabulatech Client 5.1.3)

Problem: When "ticking" a USB device in Client to activate it, it takes up to 30 seconds Show up in device Manager / Explorer (if usb storage)
Read / write to USB storage is not usable. There are intermittend Transfer rates of a few kB per second, interrupted of Long lags. Listing a Folder  with three files takes a few minutes. File copy of 1 Megabyte should take a few days.

The same thin Clients are working ok with an Windows 2012 R2 RDS.

When using a fat Windows 10 Client with Fabulatech Client 5.2.1, I get a Transfer rate of approx. 5 MB/sec. which is ok. This is regardless of Windows 2016 or 2012 R2 RDS Server.

(How to disable this rediculous spell correction in EdgeHuh)

This is our first customer with Windows 2016 RDS, so a solution would be nice.
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Robert

Hi Robert,

I want to reproduce the same issue on our lab.
Let me know the capacity and file system of your memory stick.
Awaiting your clarification.

Hi Sergey!

Thanks for your reply.
The customer tried a Lexar usb key and an iphone 7.
In our lab, we used this usb key: https://www.sandisk.de/home/usb-flash/ultra-flair
Capacity 64 GB, formatted with exFat.

Best regards,
Robert
