Network Serial Port Kit allows creating virtual null-modem connections over local network or the Internet. One virtual serial port is created on a remote computer and another one is created on a local computer.
Connection to the remote virtual serial port must be created on a local computer.
1) Click button to add connection with the remote virtual serial port.
2) Select virtual serial port number from drop-down list. This serial port will be connected with remote virtual serial port over network by means of virtual null-modem cable.
Note: Click Advanced button to configure bitrate emulation and type of virtual null-modem cable. Refer to Remote Virtual Serial Port Advanced Settings for details.
3) Specify remote serial port location (computer name or IP address and TCP-port).
Note: If you want to create virtual null-modem on local computer click on Local computer radio button.
Then click Next button. The program will have retrieved the list of ports which are shared on the remote computer.
4) Now, select remote virtual serial port which you want to connect with from drop-down list and click Finish button.
The program will create virtual serial port which is connected with the remote virtual serial port over network by means of virtual null-modem cable.
From now communications applications on both local and remote computers are able to exchange data via virtual serial ports.
