CANON DR-C225W, Igel, RDS

Hi,
I’m testing USB for Remote Desktop (Server Version 5.0.6) with Igel M320C Firmware 5.05.100.01 to connect a Cannon DR-C225W Scanner. The server is Windows Server 2008 R2.
The drivers are installed, I can see the scanner in the list of USB devices in “USB for Remote Desktop” in the icon tray, in the “device manager” and when I open “printers and devices” .
But when I try to start a scan there is an error message. Something like “It is not possible to transfer a picture from the device. Make sure the device is connected” (the error message is in German …).
There are some error messages in the ftusbrdsrv.log:
2015.08.27 13:06:20 [1492] [1740] [ERROR]: 2015.08.27 13:09:07 [1492] [1740] [ERROR]: 2015.08.27 13:09:07 [1492] [1740] [ERROR]: 2015.08.27 13:09:07 [1492] [1740] [ERROR]: 2015.08.27 13:18:30 [1492] [2996] [ERROR]: CUsbServer::ReadThread: network error, can`t get packet header

I tested with every USB Port on the Igel Client (USB 2.0 and 3.0).
There are no entries in the event viewer.
Thanks for reply

Hi !
According to the Canon website there is no scanner driver for your OS:

Hi,

thank you for your answer.
You are right, there is no entry for Windows Server 2008 R2.
But when I download from http://de.software.canon-europe.com/products/0011196.asp
and install the driver, there is no error message about a wrong operating system.

When I try to connect the scanner to a local USB port of a hardware machine with Win W2k8 R2 and everything is o.k. - are you going to try to solve the problem?

Regards,
Harald
