USB over RDP

Hi,

I have installed the software on the client and server using the latest usb rdp versions, and I can see the device and all seems fine. But when I use the device it goes ok for a while then I get Network communications error and the rdp session freezes.

The device is a key reader would this be the problem?

The server is windows server 2003 R2

regards Martyn

Hello Martyn,

Please specify the following:

- What OS is being used on a Workstation PC?
- Will this error happen if you redirect another USB device? (like memory stick or printer or scanner or USB HDD)
- If you close the frozen Session and start the new one immediately will it work for a while again?
- Is it possible to reproduce the issue when none devices are being redirected? (but usb for remote desktop is launched)

Thanks.
