Can't share port, but can share individual drive

Server: Windows Server 2012 R2 w/Hyper-V

Client: Windows 8.1 (Hyper-V Guest on above server)

USB over Network 5.0.5

USB 3.0 PCI-E Card - Inatek KT4006

On the host, if I share the ports, my client doesn't see the drive plugged into the port. The server shows the name of the drive on the shared port.

If I share the drive directly the client can see/mount/access the drive.

The drive gets swapped out daily so I need to be able to just automatically mount whatever drive is plugged into the port. Thoughts as to why this isn't working?

Nevermind.. I had the drive not shared thinking I needed to do that.

It appears to be working as long as I have the ports shared and allow the drive to be shared.
