I'm experiencing a problem with serial port redirector 2.2

When sending a string to a device on port opening (required to allow login) it doesn't appear properly.  Instead a ^@ is sent after each character.

Example: "admin" is rendered as "a^@d^@m^@i^@n^@"

I've only encountered this problem with version 2.2 (Extra string work fine on 1.7, but the license I have is for 2 and above)

The device I'm trying to communicate with is a MultiTech MultiModenm GPRS Wireless Ethernet Modem

Has anyone encountered this before?
